Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe Basil Honey Dip
Get a doubly-delightful dose of Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe. It’s exotic flavor is harmoniously blended with basil, honey and crème fraiche into an intoxicating dip.
Ingredients
- ½ of a Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe, seeded
- ½ of a Dulcinea® PureHeart® Mini Seedless Watermelon
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon fresh basil, very finely minced
- 1 (7 ounce) container crème fraiche
- Fried beet chips* or your favorite dipping chip
Directions
- Use melon baller to create Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe balls and Dulcinea®
- PureHeart® Mini Seedless Watermelon balls
- Blend honey, basil and creme fraiche together until smooth
- Drizzle the top of mixture with honey
- Garnish with basil leaf (optional)
- Fried beet chips*
*Peel and very thinly slice fresh beets (using a mandolin is best for thin, even slices). Deep fry in very hot oil until crisp.
